Ways to Help

Sean, age 9, of Battle GroundFor a child with a life-threatening medical condition, a wish experience can give back what the illness takes away. It can help children forget about being sick . . . remember how to be kids . . . laugh out loud . . . and inspire them to keep making plans for the future.

You can help grant a wish to a child in Oregon and the Clark County, Washington area. There are many ways to ensure the continued mission of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Wishes come true… thanks to you!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon relies on support of time, treasure and talent throughout the community to conduct its mission of granting wishes to local children.  It is completely funded by private donations.  We receive no government funds or grants.  Funding comes from individuals, corporate donations and sponsorships, foundation grants, matching gift and workplace giving programs, planned gifts, special events and school fundraising.  The Foundation relies on in-kind contributions to lessen the cost of goods and services, as well as volunteer time to carry out the mission.

We thank our donors for their support in granting local children’s wishes.

Volunteering is a great way to help. We invite you to share the power of a wish®, whether you can give a few hours each month or a few days each year.

Become a wish granter and act as the liaison between the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and our wish families - becoming that very special person responsible for making miracles happen. Be a Fundraising/Special Events Volunteer and participate on various planning committees to organize fundraisers and events and/or volunteer time at particular functions.

Our mission is only possible with the dedication of our volunteers.
